DIXON – Dorothy E. Carlson, 92, of Dixon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at Regency Care of Sterling.
Private graveside services will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. There will be no visitation.
Dorothy was born Jan. 18, 1925, in DeSoto, the daughter of Maurice and Dora (Adams) Halleran. She married Art Carlson in 1952, and they had four daughters.
She is survived by four daughters, Debbie Carlson of Riverside, Calif., Donna (Mike) Berogan of Dixon, Dixie (Jerry) Bontz of Florida, Diana (Dave) Knight of Lake in the Hills; one sister, Betty of Sebring, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Jack; two sisters, Vivian and Judy, one grandson; and one great-great-grandson.
Dorothy lived to be 92 years old and never quit sharing the love of Jesus. She had many jobs throughout her life, but what she loved to do most was sew and garden.
