FRANKLIN GROVE - Donald “Donnie” Reinhold age 81 of Franklin Grove IL died peacefully at his home Wednesday December 30, 2020 surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on June 27, 1939 in Dixon IL, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Bodmer) Reinhold. Don was a lifelong farmer of nearly 60 years and beloved member of his community. His interests included aviation, motorcycles, boating, and westerns. He could frequently be encountered enjoying his many hobbies and passions--most of which involved pushing his limits and demonstrating that with enough determination anything was possible. He served in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, as well as the Lee County Farm Bureau, and the EAA. He was also an active supporter of AFC athletics and the FFA, in addition to other organizations over the years.

Donald married Janice Kuffel Oct. 8, 1960 in Walton, IL.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Robert Reinhold, and his sisters Sandra Reinhold and Patricia Reinhold.

Donald is survived by his wife Janice, son David Reinhold of Reisterstown MD, daughter Amanda Reinhold of Colorado Springs CO, and two grandchildren, Bryan and Kate Reinhold, both of Baltimore MD. He is also survived by his siblings Judy Laws of Rock Falls IL, Mary Harrawood of Goose Creek SC, and James (Janet) Reinhold of North Augusta, SC.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 5, 2021 at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy IL from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy IL. A burial with military honors to follow at Woodside Cemetery in Lee Center IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Donald's memory can be made to the AFC FFA. Arrangements made by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy IL. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com
