Dinges to play in All-Star Basketball Game

PONTIAC – The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association has announced that its annual All-Star games will be held on Saturday, June 11 at Pontiac Community High School.

Game times will be: 1A-2A South Girls vs. 1A-2A North Girls - 11 a.m.; 1A-2A South Boys vs. 1A-2A North Boys – 1 p.m.; 3A-4A South Girls vs. 3A-4A North Girls – 3 p.m.; 3A-4A South Boys vs. 3A-4A North Boys – 5 p.m.

Olivia Dinges, a 2022 graduate of Amboy High School, is a member of the 1A-2A North Girls’ squad. Other members of the 1A-2A North team are Sophie Bedell of Brimfield, Taylor Nowaskie of Stanford Olympia, Elynn Peterson of Brimfield, Katie Baker of Serena, Miyah Brown of Winnebago, Reganne French of Regina Dominican, Brynn Haas of Stockton, Mikayla Huffine of Rockford Lutheran, Ella Lune of Brimfield, Renee Rittmeyer of Winnebago, Caitlyn Thole of Pinckneyville, Ashleigh Wackerlin of Hinckley-Big Rock, Claire Wagner of Elmhurst Immaculate Conception and Maggie Furlong of Galena.

The 1A-2A North Girls’ team will be coached by Jamie Watson of Galena.

Admission to the games is $5.
