AMBOY — Diane M. "Punk" Powers, 63, of Amboy, died on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at Dixon Healthcare and Rehab.

She was born on Aug. 17, 1959 in Amboy, the daughter of James and Elaine (Stephenitch) Powers. Punk worked at Fantasy Flavors in Amboy for over 25 years and also owned and operated Mort's Tap in Amboy for over 20 years.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy.

Punk is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Martin Powers, and sister, Linda Powers Riley.

She is survived by her siblings, Judith (Sam) Jones, of Amboy, Dean (Mandy) Powers, of Amboy, Ann (Derrek) Barlow, of Amboy; many nieces and nephews, Kaylee Jo (Alex) Jones, Cameron Riley, Evan Riley, Ashton (Jordan) Riley, Tyson Powers, Mallory Powers, Brandon (Kelsey) Barlow, Carley (Zach) Hagemann, Brittany Barlow, Carson Barlow; and eight great-nieces and nephews, Ava, Lincoln, Brantley, Myles, Averie, Hudson, Beau, and Remi. Punk is also survived by her uncle, Otto (Lois) Stephenitch and aunt, Elaine (Joe) Powers.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, with a saying of the Rosary at 7 p.m., at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. Memorial donations can be made to the food pantry at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy or to any charitable cause of the donor’s choice.
