SUBLETTE — Dean R. "Dyno Dean" Stephenitch, 68, of Sublette, died on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023 at his home.

He was born on Oct. 8, 1954, in Sublette the son of Robert and June (Goy) Stephenitch.

Dean owned and operated his mowing and landscaping business, working on many recreational, residential, and commercial properties at Woodhaven and the surrounding areas. He loved his family, and collecting toy tractors. He spent much of his time helping with many fundraisers for people and organizations in need. He was also a co-founder of the annual Sublette Farm Toy Show and was involved with the show for over 37 years.

Dean married Susan Kalinoski on Nov. 22, 1986 in Amboy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and June, and brother, Scott Stephenitch.

Dean is survived by his wife Susan; two sons, Robb (Alissa) Stephenitch, of Woodridge and Joey Stephenitch, of Sublette; and two grandchildren, T.J., and Madi. He is also survived by his siblings, Terry (Deb) Stephenitch, of Dixon, Charles (Karen) Stephenitch, of Dixon, Ronald Stephenitch, of Dixon, and Diane (Roger) Truckenbrod, of Sublette; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of life to be held from 4 – 8 p.m., on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Kidney Fund, and Teen Turf in Amboy. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.
