AMBOY — David R. Neel, 84, of Amboy, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at Dixon Healthcare.
He was born March 9, 1934, in Tekamah, Neb., the son of Albert and Mildred (Butler) Neel.
He had worked for Dean Foods in both Dixon and Amboy for 22 years prior to his retirement.
David was a Veteran of the US Coast Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jon Neel; daughter, Cindy Shuman; brother, Richard "Dick" Neel.
Survivors include his children, David (Sandra) Neel Jr., of Dixon, Wendy (Mark) McLindsay, of Michigan, Sandy Hubbell, and Jackie (Terry) McCollum, both of Amboy; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Per David's request there will be no services or visitation. Memorials may be made in David's name to Teen Turf in Amboy.
