Curl named AHS November Student of the Month

AMBOY — James Curl, son of Rebecca Curl and Kevin Curl, has been named Amboy High School’s Student of the Month for November.

GPA: 4.0 GPA

Memberships and Involvement: “I am an active member of National Honor Society and FFA.”

Awards and Honors: “I have received my Greenhand FFA Award and a Percussion First Chair Award.” 

Best Memories of AHS: “Some of my best memories at AHS include many made in Mrs. Cynthia Carlson’s math classes. Her amazing math-related jokes and practical life lessons make her classes unforgettable. Another great memory was building a tesla coil in Mr. James Browne’s STEM class during my Junior year, along with many other interesting projects.” 

Future Plans: “I plan on attending Sauk Valley Community College in the fall to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Science. After completing my Associate’s Degree, I intend to transfer to a university to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.”
