AMBOY — Craig Fredericks, 54, of Amboy, peacefully began his heavenly journey Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Nov. 13, 1964 as the son of Albert and Carol (Smith) Fredericks.

Craig graduated from Fairhaven Bible College where he fell in love with Becky Loder and later married her in June of 1989. Together, they had five beautiful daughters. He owned and operated Carpentry by Craig, worked at Sensient Flavors in Amboy for many years, and enjoyed helping local farmers. He was a very hardworking, loving, and selfless man who will be deeply missed by many.

Craig was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. The family would like to sincerely thank Serenity Hospice House care for supporting and caring not only for Craig, but his entire family.

He is survived by his wife Becky, children Sarah (Devin) Corley, of Goose Creek, S.C., Beth (Everett) Dearing, Christy Fredericks, Joanna Fredericks and Katie Fredericks, all of Amboy; three granddaughters, Evelyn and Madeline Corley, and Ally Dearing; sister, Lisa Habben (Fredericks), of Dixon and brother Cory (Karla) Fredericks, of Indianapolis, Ind.; along with four nephews and five nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday May 18, 2019, at the Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls with a luncheon to follow at the church. Visitation will be from 6 – 9 p.m., on Friday, at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy and from 10 – 11 a.m., on Saturday from at the church.

A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home and the American Cancer Society. Craig has gifted his body to science for cancer research.
