Last week, Rick Brantner from Compeer Financial presented a check to the Lee County Fair Association for $10,000. The funds were designated for the installation of new restroom facilities at the fairgrounds. Brantner told the group that Compeer is happy to invest in the people, places and organizations that make rural America great. The new restroom facilities will replace facilities built in the 1960s. Although the facilities will be completed for this week's fair, donations to cover the project costs are still being sought. This grant was made possible by the Compeer Fund for Illinois Agriculture at the Chicago Community Foundation. Pictured accepting the donation are Molly Biggs, Skip Willett, Katie Pratt, Abbey Kelly, Rick Brantner, Andy Pratt, Michael Mead, and Adam Henkel. (Photo submitted)
