STERLING – The Amboy Clippers have been assigned to the Sterling Newman Class 1A Regional Baseball Tournament to be played May 15, 17, 18, 20.

Amboy’s first action will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18 against Newman. The winner of that game will advance to the championship game on Saturday, May 20 at 11 a.m.

The Newman Regional champion will move on to the Pearl City Sectional to battle the winner of the Alden-Hebron Regional at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 24. Other teams in the sectional will come from the Forreston and East Dubuque regionals.
