AMBOY — The Amboy Clippers baseball team split games last week.
On May 8, the Clippers traveled to Morrison where they won 7-1. Mitchell McLaughlin earned the win on the mound. He also had three RBI. Hunter Zimmerly and Max Lucas each hit a double. Nick Shafer had two RBI.
On May 11, the Clippers were held to two hits by Putnam County. Putnam County defeated the Clippers. 5-0. Zimmerly and Clayton Kemp each singled in the game. Justin Hart was the losing pitcher, allowing three hits and three runs.
The Clippers began Regional action on Thursday in Amboy.
