Clippers romp over West Central, 60-14

AMBOY – Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio made its 2021 Homecoming football game a memorable one with a 60-14 drubbing of Biggsville West Central on Sept. 17 at the AHS field. West Central came into the contest ranked No. 1 with an eight-game winning streak in eight-man football.

The Clippers piled up 20 points in the opening stanza and exploded for 32 tallies in the second frame on their way to the easy victory.

There were numerous offensive stars for Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio. Kye Koch had a monster game rushing the football as he picked up 181 yards on just five carries. Three of those rush attempts resulted in Clipper touchdowns.

Quarterback Tucker Lindenmeyer had another solid effort as he gained 107 yards and crossed the end zone twice, while Dillon Daniels also scored a pair of TDs for the Clippers and had 48 yards on the ground.

Amboy-LaMoille-Ohio also came up big on defense as it limited the high-scoring Heat to 212 yards and just one offensive touchdown.

The Clippers (2-2) will return to action when they travel to Milford to take on the Bearcats (0-4) on Saturday, Sept. 25. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
