The Amboy Clippers needed extra innings to take down Forreston, 8-3, in a varsity conference baseball game on April 8 at Forreston.

The two teams were tied at 3-3 after seven innings. After a scoreless eighth, the Clippers erupted for five runs in the top of the ninth to claim the victory.

Amboy totaled 15 hits in the contest, with Logan Whelchel (two singles, double) and Preston Henkel (two singles, double) collecting three hits apiece. Rapping out a pair of safeties were Hunter Zimmerly (single, double), Clayton Kemp (two singles), Maverick Lindenmeyer (two singles) and Mitchell McLaughlin (two singles).
