Clippers earn two wins over Milledgeville

AMBOY — Amboy disposed of Milledgeville, 12-2, in a conference baseball match-up on May 2 at Parker Field. The game was called in the bottom of the sixth by the 10-run rule.

Amboy did a bulk of its damage in the first three innings, plating four runs in the first and three each in the second and third frames. Milledgeville put up single tallies in the first and third innings. The Clippers put the game away with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Quinn Leffelman had three singles and two RBI to pace the offense. Picking up two hits apiece were Brody Christoffersen, Landon Montavon and Ryan Dickinson. Montavon drove in a pair of runs.

Christoffersen earned the win for Amboy. He struck out seven Missile batters.


Amboy got another win over Milledgeville, this time a 4-0 road triumph on May 4.

Tucker Lindenmeyer was brilliant on the mound for the Clippers, allowing just three hits and striking out 13 in the shutout victory.

Amboy scored single runs in the first, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

Lindenmeyer helped his own cause with a pair of singles.
