Cast for Annie announced

AMBOY — Amboy High School is pleased to announce the cast members of "Annie,"  this year's spring musical.

AHS Senior Sydney Friel will portray Annie, while senior Ben Clark will portray Daddy Warbucks and Adriana Bartoschek, AHS foreign exchange student from Germany, will play Grace Ferrell.  Other cast members include Evelyn Curl as Miss Hannigan, Lucas Blake as Rooster, Gabby Ketchum as Lily St. Regis, Lillian Leffelman as Molly, Courtney Orgtgiesen as Kate, Laine Wittenauer as Tessie, Natalia Soto as Pepper, Natalie Pratt as July, and Emma Dinges as Duffy.

Additional orphans will be played by Madison Althaus, Brianna Henkel, Mylee Hochstatter, Morgan Kreiser, Dana Merriman, Alexa Morris, Samantha Nauman, Autumn Norman, Ava Rhodenbaugh, Haley Sus, Madison Thomas, Chloe Vaupel, and Brooklyn Whelchel. Other cast members include Frank Piscetello, Abril Vazquez-Tapia, Erin Latta, Kaitlyn Stevens, Rayven Wehling, Cameron Simpson, Nathan Friel, Brian Murphy, Ryan Phillips, Kelton Schwamberger, Matt Friel, James Curl, Reed Barns, Kelynn Boyle, Aaron Costner, James Curl, Jake Dinges, Gracie Esquival, Allana Gittleson, Kenzie Kethcum, Rachel Lachat, Maggie Lowery, Liberty Sheaves, Shannon Simpson, Kelsey Stewart, Phillip Stewart, Cooper Whitney, and Makenzie Kessel.  "Nick" (a two year four-legged veteran of the AHS stage) will  portray Sandy.

The musical is directed by Mrs. Aubrey Burke and Mrs. Kathy Mekeel is the music director.  The pit orchestra features Amboy High School students, along with Dr. Jeff Thake on trumpet and Mrs. LouAnn McMillion as accompanist.

"Annie" will be presented at 7 p.m., on March 9 and 10, and 2 p.m., on March 11, in the high school auditorium. Tickets will be on sale Feb. 26 through March 9, weekdays only, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the high school. Tickets will also be available at the door.
