AMBOY — Brittany Barlow, daughter of Ann and Derrek Barlow, has been named the Amboy High School Student of the Month for May.
GPA: 4.0 /4.0
Memberships and Involvement: I am a member at the Starlight dance studio in Amboy. I also was on the high school football dance team all four years, and the high school basketball dance team for three years.
Awards and Honors: I have been on the Honor Roll all four years during high school. I also was named March student of the month for my Early Childhood Education class at Whiteside Area Career Center.
Best Memories of AHS: My best memories at AHS are those when I was surrounded by my friends. I also loved the week of Homecoming with all the fun days that came leading up to homecoming.
Future Plans: My future plans are to go to Sauk Valley Community College for two years, then transfer to Northern Illinois University. I plan on majoring in Early Childhood Education to become an elementary teacher.
