Amboy wrestlers dropped both ends of triangular meet against Mendota and St. Bede

AMBOY – Amboy dropped both ends of a triangular meet with Mendota and St. Bede to open the wrestling season on Nov. 22 at the AHS gym.

The Clippers fell to St. Bede, 48-24. Josh McKendry (138) and Lucas Blanton (170) won their matches by pin, while Landon Blanton (120) and Levi Near (132) were forfeit winners.

Mendota edged the Clippers, 42-35. McKendry gained another pin win and Near pinned his opponent. Picking up forfeit victories were Landon Blanton, Chase Montavon (126), Lucas Blanton and Kole Beckham (220).
