AMBOY – Five Amboy High School students were selected to perform at the IMEA Music Festival in DeKalb on Nov. 19. The Amboy students competed against students from all over northern Illinois for the honor of participating in the music festival. Pictured above are the students who participated, from left to right, Gabby Ketchum was in the junior mix chorus, Evelyn Curl was in the senior honor chorus, Kaitlyn Ortgiesen played clarinet in the senior honors band, Sydney Friel was in the senior honors chorus, and Cameron Simpson was in the senior honors chorus. The audition process for the students was very strenuous and was held at Rockford Jefferson High School. It is a great honor for the students to be selected.
