MILLEDGEVILLE – Milledgeville had Amboy on the ropes, but the Lady Clippers mounted a rally to double up the Lady Missiles, 8-4, in varsity softball action on May 4 at Milledgeville.
The Lady Missiles held a 4-0 lead heading to the fourth when Amboy cut the lead in half. The Lady Clippers crept closer with a tally in the fifth, then scored three times in the sixth and two in the seventh to seize the win.
Kylie Highbarger led a potent Amboy offensive attack with two singles, a home run and two runs batted in. Hallie Nauman also swatted a home run, a single and drove in a pair, while Shannon Lytle and Nataly Jones both singled twice.
Bailee Highbarger was the winning pitcher, giving up six hits, walking four and striking out six.
