LEE COUNTY – On Wednesday, May 31 at the Amboy Community Building, members of Lee County 4-H and their friends and family gathered to watch the first 4-H Ambassadors Contest. The 4-H Ambassadors are chosen based on their 4-H, school and community involvement, the achievements they have made, and their ability to present themselves in front of others. The contest was Emceed by the 2016 4-H King and Queen, Calista Kern-Lyons and Nathan Shaddick. When judging was not taking place, the audience and contestants had a fun time eating “There’s No Place like 4-H” themed snacks. “There’s No Place like 4-H” is the 2017 4-H Fair theme.
After Judging, the 4-H Ambassadors were announced.
